Who Wants to Throw Up?
So I switched on the TV tonight before putting in the best movie ever, The Big Lebowski, and ended up seeing the start of WhoWants To Marry A Millionaire. I thought it was the movie of the week poking fun at Who Wants to be a Millionaire, but no, it's an actual game show. And I thought game shows couldn't sink any lower.
Here's how it works: a mystery millionaire is selected by the show (which is scary in itself; there are enough millionaires in the US which want to do this) and listens to the measurements, accomplishments, measurements, answers to questions and measurements of fifty (yes, fifty) ``lucky'' ladies, one of whom he'll marry that evening on National TV.
This is disgusting. To subvert something as serious as marriage and make it a prize to be won on a game show is...disheartening to say the very least.
