HAARP generates artificial aurora

February 03, 2005

The US Military's high- and low- frequency transmission array in Alaska (HAARP) * has succeeded in producing an artificial aurora. Or, in their own words, ``HAARP is a scientific endeavor aimed at studying the properties and behavior of the ionosphere, with particular emphasis on being able to understand and use it to enhance communications and surveillance systems for both civilian and defense purposes.'' (my emphasis).

``The process is not well understood, but scientists speculate it could one day be employed to light a city or generate celestial advertisements.''

Jesus fucking god, advertisements in auroras?! It must be the endtimes. (How to you pluralise "aurora", anyway?)

HAARP is almost certainly part of the larger US military goals. They definitely use global-scale ELF waves for submarine communications.

I have heard semi-plausible speculation about possible Earth-X-raying using HAARP.

The US military is definitely interested in possible weather control. As the Air Force reports, ``A global, precise, real-time, robust, systematic weather-modification capability would provide war-fighting CINCs with a powerful force multiplier to achieve military objectives.'' By 2025. This provides much of the credence that (I personally) give to some of the so-called "chemtrail" reports. See this page, among others, which discuss a Congressional bill HR 2977 calling for the banning of various space-based weapons systems, including ``Such terms include exotic weapons systems such as--chemtrails''. More here, full text of bill and here. God knows how much of this is true.

Other speculative-type uses of HAARP include possible mood-control (brain-waves try to match incoming ELF radiation, apparently, although I've not seen anything concrete in connection with HAARP).
