SERGEY
Sergey is pygame-based slideshow software. It is developed on GNU/Linux -- it may work on other systems where pygame works, but I have no confirmation of that as of now (email me if you've got it working, especially if you have changes).
Features
- full-height view of panoramic shots via scrolling (zooms to the left side, pans along panorama and zooms out upon reaching right side)
- zoom in or zoom out of high-resolution shots
- titles (intertitles or captions)
- music with titles
- Python-based "interface"
If you're not comfortable with a little bit of Python, this might not be the program for you (yet) -- there's no GUI; you build a slideshow as a Python list. If this appeals, there's an quick example slideshow which downloads pictures from my Flickr account.

In a nutshell, he took colour photographs by using 3 filtered black and white images of the same scene: one for each of red, green and blue. Neat stuff!
Sergey is Free Software released under the GNU GPL.
